General Notes: Wife - Myrtle Bertha Sample

== Biography ==
When Myrtle was a little girl, her family called her the little blue hen, because apparently she had a bad temper. Her family always had toprotect her from getting pecked by the chickens when she was a toddler. She got scarlet fever when she was a child and all of her hair fellout. When it grew out again it was curly, which it hadn't been before.
Myrtle was plump and pretty and the sweetest of women. She was my maternal Grandmother. And she was a wonderful Grandma. She was the kind of Grandma who was always baking cookies. She wore aprons that covered her entire dress, she always smelled good, and she always had a great big warm hug for all of her grandchildren.
I never heard her say a mean thing about anyone. When she got angry at her husband, Ray, all she had to say was, "Now, Ray," and that wouldbe the end of Grandpa's foolishness.
She was very industrious, always getting up at 5:00 a.m. to prepare ahuge farmer's breakfast with homemade biscuits, gravy, ham, eggs, cereal, juice and milk. She grew a large garden with lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, corn and peppers. She would end up canning dozens and dozens of jars of the delicious stuff she grew.
She was also an excellent housekeeper. She even ironed handkerchiefs,sheets and pillow cases.
