Craig Randall Brazzell, 53, of Arlington, Texas, and West Terre Haute, Ind., passed away March 16, 2015, at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas. Craig was born April 30, 1961, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Ray and Frances Brazzell. He resided in West Terre Haute until 1982. During his high school years he was employed with Ace Hardware in West Terre Haute and also with Bill Smith's Macksville Station in West Terre Haute during and after high school. After moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area, he worked as a plumber. There he was employed with Beeco Plumbing Supply in Dallas; C&S Construction in Lancaster; Crown Plumbing in Oak Cliff; and most recently with Mark's Plumbing Parts in Fort Worth, where he served as a customer service representative and manager of sales, and from which he retire due to health reasons, subsequently moving back to West Terre Haute in the last few years.

Craig is survived by three sons and three grandchildren, Patrick Brazzell and his wife Alex, and their daughter Elizabeth of Arlington, Texas; Easton Brazzell and his daughter Emilee of Watauga, Texas; and Wesdon Brazzell and his daughter Kloie of Watauga, Texas; a stepdaughter, Shanthea Baxter of Texas; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Janet Brazzell of Terhune, Ind., Doug and Paula Brazzell of Madill, Okla., Brad and Debi Brazzell of Houston, Texas, and Keith and Roxanne Brazzell of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Michael Miedema of Hockley, Texas, Kathy and Robert Roush of West Terre Haute, and Raynel and Larry McLaren of West Terre Haute; his former wives and mothers of his children, Shauna Brazzell of Watauga, Texas, and Barbara Kehn of Arvada, Colo.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Craig was extraordinarily family-oriented and was actively involved in the lives of Lori Otta of Arlinton, Texas, and her family, and Brandy Roberson of Bedford, Texas, and her family, both of which he helped raise. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances; his father, Ray; and a granddaughter, Sarah Brazzell.

Craig was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding quads and driving his antique Allis-Chalmers tractor. He never met a stranger. Craig loved people and loved to talk. He was a vivid storyteller and could captivate his audience. Most of all, he loved the Lord. The family would like to give a special thank-you to the special friends who rallied around Craig in the last several years that he spent back home.

According to his wishes, cremation was chosen. A memorial service and celebration of Craig’s life will be at a later date this spring, probably in June, and will be announced at that time.
