Clair L. Brainard, 86, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at home. Clair is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Brainard; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark VanDeMark; two grandsons, Mark VanDeMark II and his wife, Kelly, Cody VanDeMark; two great granddaughters, Jasmine and Jayda; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jane Williams, Phoebe and Warren Clement; brother, William Brainard; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with the Rev. William Prentice, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to the Brainard family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com

Owego, NY; Barbara J. Brainard, 84, of Owego, NY, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2015.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Clair Brainard, her parents, John and Edna Waite, her sisters Jackie (Ben) Pitcher and Kathleen "Kitty" Waite.

She is survived by her daughter .....; grandsons.....; great grandchildren.....; her brother and sister in law.....; several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was an active member of the Gibson Corners Methodist Church and past member of the Eastern Star, Westbrook Lodge, Nichols, NY.

A Memorial Service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 3670 Waverly Road, Owego, NY 13827 on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 12:00pm with Rev. William Prentice, officiating.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, at the Funeral Home, from 11:00am until the time of service.
