Ned A. Bowers, 75, of Waveland died at 12:30 pm Tuesday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis.
A retired farmer and truck driver, he attended Browns Valley Baptist Church. He was a 1935 graduate of Waveland High School.
He was born March 27, 1917, at Darlington to Carl E. and Icy Boots Bowers. One Oct. 20, 1940, he married Mabel Cash at Turkey Rub. She died in 1990.
Survivors include one son, Gerald of Waveland; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Roxie) Stewart of New Market and Mrs. Gerald (Gwen) Moore of New Ross; one sister, Mrs. John (Ellen) Alward of Prescott, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services are set for 4 pm Friday at Oak Jill Mausoleum with the Rev. Rovert Shipley officiating. There will be no calling. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made by the consideration of becoming organ donors.
