Nellie M. Booth, age 85, of Mount Vernon, died Monday April 19, 2010 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. Nellie was born May 24, 1924 in Knox County to Harold and Faye (Pumphrey) McCament and had spent her lifetime in Knox County. After raising her family, Nellie entered the local work force and retired from the Ohio Laborers Training Center near Howard.

She was an active and faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon for many years.

Surviving are her daughters Connie (Nick) Landis of Coshocton, Karen (Tom) Whitney of Danville, Kay (Buddy) Davis of Bladensburg, and Peggy (Don) French of Columbus; her sons Ed (Rosemary) Booth of Fredericktown, Raymond (Holly) Booth of Mount Vernon, Mark (Brandy) Booth of Howard and Milo (Kathy) Booth of Danville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother Ted McCament of Mount Vernon and her special friends Jo Gray and Jean Taylor. Besides her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Booth, her daughters Hope Cattrell and Maxine Guinn,a granddaughter Nellie Cattrell brothers Kenneth, Dwight, Gene, and Carroll McCament and sisters Kathleen Dowds, Elizabeth Wolford and Thelma Frost.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 807 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery near Gambier.
