Mrs. Oliver (Londa) Bonewitz, 77, a former resident of rural Rudd, died on Saturday, March 7, 1992, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Londa Bonewitz were held on Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at the Hauser Funeral Home. The Rev. Delbert Dawes, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, officiated, and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Rudd.

Londa Pearl (Sigler) Bonewitz was born on November 15, 1914, at Floyd, Iowa, the daughter of Alonzo and Myrtle (Britton) Sigler. She graduated from Floyd High School and on May 2, 1926, she and Oliver Bonewitz were married in Mason City. They farmed near Rudd.

Living family members include a daughter, LaVonne (Mrs. Roger) Englehorn of Mankato, Minnesota; two sisters, Wanda Johnson and Esta Holtz, both of Charles City; and a brother, LaVern 'Buck' Sigler of Floyd. There are two grandchildren, Jason and Christopher Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oliver, three sisters and three brothers.
