RALPH O. KRUEGER passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011, in Rialto, CA, of natural causes. He was 94 years old. Ralph was born at home on July 20, 1916, in Firth, Gage Co, NE, the third of four children born to William and Blanche Krueger. He passed his early days on farms in rural Nebraska. He spent several years in the Conservation Corps before marrying Barbara E. Blakeslee in 1942, who preceded him in death in 1983. They moved to Buffalo, NY, where he worked for Curtis Wright during World War II. He returned to farming until moving to California in 1952, where he was hired by Kaiser Steel. He retired from Kaiser in 1977. He and his wife built a house in Lytle Creek, doing most of the work himself. He spent his later years traveling, gardening, playing pool, and enjoying many friends. He is survived by his daughter, Judith Broadston, and son-in-law, Thomas Broadston of La Habra, CA; and his son, Ralph A. Krueger, and daughter-in-law, Dona Krueger of San Bernardino. He also had four grandchildren, Jeff Broadston, Barbara Pugliese, Julie and Lori Krueger; and three great grandchildren, Andrew Broadston and Madonna and Joseph Pugliese.
