Regiment:86th Regiment

First John C. married Isadora Adelaide Bishop on December 31, 1868.
After Addies death in 1884, John C. married Loretta A. Dorr on October 06, 1888 in Dimondale, Eaton, Michigan.
After Loretta's death in 1925-John 81y married Mary Jane Bates Raymond 65y on June 17, 1926 in Ingham County, Michigan.

== Obituary ==John C. Wolverton, aged 85 years, died at his home. He Is survived byhis wife, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Beatty of Pontiac, and Mrs. George Gibson of Adrian. Mr. Wolverton was a veteran of the Civil War,serving with a New York infantry regiment. For many years be resided east of Dansville, where he was active in the affairs of Frank Hicks Post G. A. R. Since removing to Leslie he has affiliated with Steele Bros. Post of Mason, of which organization he was a member at the time of his death.
