"Eula A. 'Jeanne' Bickel

Eula A. 'Jeanne' Bickel, 75, of Hutchinson, died June 18, 1999, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born March 25, 1924, at Canadian, Okla., the daughter of James and Dixie Lane Shropshire. She graduated from high school at Canadian. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.

In 1945, she married Palmer Jerde at Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. On Sept. 5, 1974, she married Virgil H. Bickel at Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Richard Jerde, Hutchinson; three daughters, Carla Leach, Mary Dove and Tammie Hazell, all of Hutchinson; a brother, James Shropshire, Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Eva Farrah, Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Lane Jerde; and a sister, Alta Wooley.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Luanne haddaway presiding. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of the mortuary."
