"Orville F. 'Mort' Bickel

WICHITA - Orville F. "Mort" Bickel, 82, died July 12, 1996, at Colwich.

He was born May 2, 1914, in Troy Township. A Wichita resident, formerly of Hutchinson, he was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include: three sons, Steve L., Decatur, Ill., Frank, Lone Oak, Texas, and Warren F., Wichita; a daughter, Janette L. Gonzales, San Antonio, Texas; former wife, Marie Bickel, Park City; a brother, Virgil, Hutchinson; three sisters, Olga Waite, Kingman, Catherine Fultz, Pratt, and Marjorie Stull, Arlington; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cochran Mortuary, Wichita, with Pastor Donald Lacy presiding. Friends may call during regular mortuary hours. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Central Township Cemetery, Partridge.

Memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 2763, Wichita, 67201."
