"Benjamin M. Farnsworth
MUNCY - Benjamin M. Farnsworth, 92, formerly of 152 East Water Street, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 1984, at the Millville Health Center, where he had been a resident since September 1982.

Mr. Farnsworth retired in 1958 from the former Sprout Waldron Co., now the Sprout Waldron Division of Koppers Inc., where he was a member of the company's Quarter Centry Club.

Born in Franklin Twp. Nov. 1, 1891, he was a son of Simpson and Esther Smith Farnsworth.

Mr. Farnsworth was the oldest member of Muncy Baptist Church.

He also was the last surviving charter member and president emeritus of the Millville Rod and Gun Club.

Mr. Farnsworth's first wife, the former Edna Berger, died in 1961. His second wife, the former Mabel Shoemaker, died Feb. 17, 1981.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Georgine Harman, of Springfield, Va., one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McCarty-Thomas', 557 East Water Street, Hughesville, with the Rev. D. Gene Patterson, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."
