"Farnsworth, Injured in Crash, Dies
PORTAGE - Atty. Walter H. Farnsworth, 55. of the Grady, Farnsworth, and Walker law firm here, died at a hospital here Tuesday night from injuries received in an auto accident near De Forest on Jan. 12.

Four other persons were injured in the crash, which occurred when Farnsworth and two other attorneys were on their way to Madison to appear in a case before the state supreme court.

Their car and a truck driven by Leo Hake, Jefferson, collided head-on on highway 51, about a mile and a half south of the De Forest corner.

Besides Farnsworth, others injured in the crash on the icy highway were Attys. Thomas H. Sandeson and Mrs. Sanderson, Atty. T. C. Kammholz, and Hake, they recovered.

Lloyd J. Paust, assistant district attorney, and Paul Lappley, deputy coroner, were to open an investigation of the accident, which occurred in Dane county.

Farnsworth is survived by the wodow; three daughters, Mrs. Ned Brunt, Marjorie and Lois Farnsworth, Portage, and a brother, Dr. Farnsworth, in Baraboo.

Funeral services will be held at the Masonic temple Thursday at 2:30 p.m., the Revs. J. V. Berger, and T. Parry Jones officiating. Masonic services burial will be in Silver Lake cemetery."
