Pauline Ruth Bays, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away 12:42 a.m. Monday at Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 7, 1921 in Vigo County, she was the daughter of Homer Tracy and Zelta (Bennett) Jackson.

Pauline worked in the offices of the Auditor and Recorder of Greene County, retiring as Greene County Recorder after over 30 years of total service.

She was a member of the Ladies Democratic Party, Former school board member of Eastern High School, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Robert W. Henrichsen and wife Mary of Elnora; one daughter, Sue Bays of Martinsville; one sister, Wilma Roush of Linton; three grandchildren, Robert Scott Henrichsen of Jasper, Bobbie Sue Blevins of Odon, and Walt Loren Henrichsen of Loogootee; and five great, grandchildren, Loren Henrichsen, Brittany Blevins, Lane Henrichsen, Bradley Blevins, and Haley Marie Blevins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Fern Lee Hendrix.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Riley, Indiana.
