SUTTON - Olinda Overturf, 75, of Sutton died Saturday in the Sutton Community Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Kohler Mortuary Chapel in Sutton with the Rev. Richard Shapland officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Grove Cemetery near Sutton.
Mrs. Overturf was born Dec. 7, 1911, in Balzer, Russia. She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1912. She attended Sutton Public Schools, graduating
from Sutton High School in 1931.
She married Melvin Overturf July 2,1939, in Sutton and they farmed in the Edgar area for 40 years. She
obtained her citizenship in 1964.
They retired and moved into Sutton in 1981.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist
Church and Ladies' Aid Society in Clay Center.
Survivors are her husband, Melvin of Sutton; two sons, George of Edgar and Myron "Woody" of Hastings; and two sisters, Theresa Ackerman of Sutton and Marie August of
Dorchester.
Memorials may be give to the family.
