"Clifford Koestel
Clifford Koestel, 93, died April 17, 2004, at Infinia, Hutchinson.

He was born July 8, 1910, at Partridge, the son of Henry and Olga Massoni Koestel. He graduated from Partridge Rural High School. A resident of South Hutchinson since 1973, moving from Pretty Prairie and Partridge, he was a farmer, retiring in 1973. Then he worked for Western Foods until retiring in 1978.

He formerly belonged to Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, served on the Troy Township Board, was a clerk for Davenport Auction and was a substitute mail carrier at Pretty Prairie.

On Aug. 18, 1957, he married Zora Barton Gump at Hutchinson. She died Nov. 22, 1981.

Survivors include: a brother, Robert, South Hutchinson; five sisters, Annabell Conrad, Dorothy Covert and Evelyn Myers, all of Hutchinson, Ethel Krug, South Hutchinson, and Viola Bontrager, Partridge; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and an infant brother, Walter; and two sisters, Mable Ball and Irene Hirst.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Partridge Community Church, with the Rev. Pamela J. Tinnin presiding. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson."

Mrs. Clifford Koestel
Zora Koestel, 70, 15 Truman Drive, South Hutchinson, died Sunday at her home after a sudden illness. Born Zora Barton March 29, 1911, at Pretty Prairie, she was married to Porter Gump June 14, 1929, at Hutchinson. He died March 13, 1956. She married Clifford Koestel Aug. 18, 1957, at Hutchinson. She was a lifetime resident of the Hutchinson area.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pretty Prairie; Royal Neighbors of America, Rebekah Lodge, both of Hutchinson.

Survivors: widower, of the home; brothers. Oren Barton, Omaha, Neb.; William Davis, Goddard; sisters, Velma Peoples, 1801 Lyman; Mamie Davis, 1808 Lyman; Mrs. Ralph Cain, Pretty Prairie; Mrs. Fred Martin, Alameda, Calif.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson; the Rev. Eric Zacharias. Burial at Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel. Memorials to the American Heart Association."
