Son of William Francis Barry, Sr. and Etta Lee (Moore) Barry (1865-1939); married, December 28, 1935, to Eleanor Tyne. Democrat. Lawyer; member of Tennessee state house of representatives, 1923-27; Speaker of the Tennessee State House of Representatives, 1925-27. Baptist. Member, American Bar Association; American Legion; Sons of the American Revolution; Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Died in Nashville, Davidson County, Tenn., June 4, 1967 (age 67 years, 122 days). Interment at East View Cemetery.
