When Edward John Barnett was born on November 4, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, his father, Edward, was 54 and his mother, Nellie, was 33.He married Esther Ivadell Schima on April 28, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia. He then married Kathryn Ann Scott and they had seven children together. He died on December 11, 2005, in Florida at the age of 83.
