"Ronnie was the son of James R. and Gladys R. Cook. He was married to Edna Marie. He worked at C.C. Cook and Son Lumber Company in Reelsville, Indiana since he was a young man and together with his brother Charles they became owners until his death. His family was pioneer in the lumber industry and Ronnie devoted much time and effort into his business and lumber industry. Ronnie served as President of the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermens Association in 1979 and served on the school board as well as director for a local bank for years. He enjoyed car restoration, hot rods and was a devoted man to his family.

My family was related to him on the Hunsicker side of the family."

Edna M. Cook, 80, of Reelsville, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on June 1, 1933 at Greencastle, and was the daughter of the late John Roy and Helen Marie (Klebush) Ash.
She married Richard R. "Ronnie" Cook on Nov. 21, 1981 and he survives.
She is also survived by her children, Sarah (Albright) Anderson Young, Reelsville, Anthony Albright, Greencastle, and Todd Cook, Reelsville; her brothers, Gene Ash and wife Shirley, John Ash and wife Libby and Joe Ash and wife Lorretta; her grandchildren, Justin Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Lauren Grissom and Craig Grissom; and her great-granddaughter, Hailie Marie Anderson.
She was a retired telephone operator for General Telephone at Greencastle and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Eddie Ash.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Township Fire
Department.
