Linda B. Alt, age 72 of Ocean View, DE formerly of Silver Spring, MD went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2015.
Linda was born in Uniontown, PA on July 19, 1942 daughter of the late Albert and Emma Jean (Wilson) Beatty. She served as a crossing guard with the Montgomery County Police Department and retired as a Para educator with the Montgomery County Public Schools in 2004.
Mrs. Alt was a member of the Millville United Methodist Church in Millville, DE and enjoyed scrapbooking, stamping and cooking. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Beatty and a sister, Patty Kindervater. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Henry “Pete” Frederick Alt, Jr.; 2 daughters, Karen McKiernan of Silver Spring, MD and Stacey Freeman of NC; a brother, Gary Beatty of NC; 3 grandchildren, Jamie Zibragos of Germantown, MD, Justin Zibragos of Olney, MD and Katelyn McKiernan of Silver Spring, MD and a great grandson, Christian Zibragos.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Millville United Methodist Church, 36405 Clubhouse Road, Millville, DE 19966, where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Linda’s memory to, Millville UMC at the above address or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
