== Biography ==He was born on 14 Feb 1826 in Columbia Furnace, Shenandoah County, Virginia, USA and his parents were John William Wolverton and Magdalena Mary "Polly" Hottel (b: 31 Aug 1795).
John Wolverton married on 26 Jan 1854 in Shenandoah County, Virginia to Sarah Ann Riffey (b: 17 Sep 1834, daughter of Mary and George Riffey).
He died on 19 Mar 1900 and was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Shenandoah County, Virginia, USA.
