== Biography ==He was born about 1760 in Rosemond, Hunterdon County, New Jersey and his parents were Daniel Woolverton and Hannah (Chamberlain, b: 12 Jul 1741 NJ).
Joel William Wolverton married about 1785 in Berkeley, Virginia to Sarah Gano(e) (b: 23 Feb 1766). <ref> [http://trees.ancestry.com/rd?f=sse&db=worldmarr_ga&h=1360831&ti=0&indiv=try&gss=pt U.S. and International Marriage Records] 1560-1900 compiled by Yates Publishing on ancestry.com; b: 1760 NJ. </ref>
He died about 1814 in that part of Virginia that would become West Virginia about 1863.
