Debbie Marie Wolverton, 12-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Wolverton, Gainesville, formerly of the Thomas Hill area, was electrocuted yesterday afternoon white in the bath tub at her home.
According to information received here, an electrical storm in Gainesville caused a short-circuit in automatic washer wiring that was grounded to a water pipe leading to the bath tub. It is reported that Debbie received a fatal shock when she grasped a faucet to leave the tub. She died about 25 minutes afterward.
The father suffered a minor shock as he pulled the girl from the tub.

Debbie was a granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Percy Epperly of Huntsville. Her mother is the former Marry Elizabeth Epperly.
Besides the parents and grandparents, she is survived by three brothers of the home; and uncle, Robert T Epperly, Thomas Hill; a great aunt, Mrs Clyde Howell, 934 West End Place and several aunts including Mrs Hubert Bowden, Cairo.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moberly.
