"Curtis had difficulty walking as a youth and by his mid-twenties was on crutches. He eventually had both legs removed due to an extreme form of arthritis. Through all of his physical handicaps, he proved to be a person who seldom if ever frowned or complained. He had a beautiful spirit and was thus greatly loved by his family. He never married.
