Edye Wolverton, 84, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at her home.

Following cremation, a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com. Edye was born October, 15, 1928 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of John J. Williams and Mary Frances (Conley) Williams. She married her best friend, Kenneth H. Wolverton, on November 25, 1950. They lived in Hanover, Illinois, raised their children in Moline and moved to Arlington, Texas, in 1975. They later retired and spent the best years of their lives living in the home they built together, with the help of their children, on Cedar Creek Lake, Texas. They moved back to the Quad Cities in 2008 where they lived at the Fountains Senior Living Community in Bettendorf.

Survivors include her husband, Ken, her 4 children, Judy (Bob) Bebber of Westminster, Colorado, Janet (Jim) Jeffery of Moline, Jim (Beth) of Austin, Texas, and Jack (Kate) of Pace, Florida. She has 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren."
