He was born February 4, 1948 in Noblesville, Indiana to Leslie and Virginia Wheeler.

Joseph worked 25 plus years for Communirty Health Network as an Information Systems Analyst. He graduated from Westfield High School and Indiana University.

Mr. Wheeler was a member of the Westfield-Washington Historical Society, and St. Peters United Church of Christ of Carmel, Indiana.

He is survived by his children, Carrie, Lori, & Neil; siblings, Marcy, Andy, Martha, & Charles; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Westerhoff) Wheeler in 2004.
