Sioux City Journal:
MOVILLE, Iowa - Clarence R. "Dick" Voas, 91, of Moville died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Mr. Voas was born Dec. 5, 1909, in Hitchcock, S.D., the son of Frank L. and Pearl E. (Barger) Voas. He attended rural school and graduated from Hitchcock High School. He attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, for two years.

He married Catherine Vollenweider on May 23, 1935. The couple lived in Torrington, Wyo., from 1940 to 1944, then Morrill, Neb., from 1944 to 1945. They then moved to the Lawton, Iowa and Moville area in 1945. He farmed and was employed with Miller Motor Co. for 24 years, until retiring. Following his retirement, he did carpenter work for Howard McLarnan.

He was a member of Moville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Smith; and two brothers, Joyce and William.
