Geroge was the ninth child of Antonina Bruno and Gioachino Virgadamo. His parents were from Burgio, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy. His father came to the United States throught Ellis Island on the ship Sannio out of Palermo, he arrived 24 Aug 1906. His father was just 17 years old and single. He was known as Jack the Taylor in Newport, RI.

George Virgadamo, married Joan Fusco of Flordia in the late 50s. When this marrage ended Geroge went into the Navy. After the Navy he took Nurses schooling at Newport Hospital, in Newport, RI.

Soon after finishing schooling at Newport Hospital Geroge drove across country to his sisters home in San Diego, CA. He lived with Rose Mary and her husband Geroge E. Thorsell Sr for a short time and then decided to go back into the service. He went into the Army out of Fort Ord, in the Montery Area of CA. He was sent to Viet Nam as a Medic, Radioman, and Camera Man. Geroge earned two Purple Hearts. He loved Viet Nam and had many pictures of the beautiful country.

After the Service he came back to San Diego, CA to live with is other sister Carmella V. and her husband Frank Sarris. He decided after failing his State Board for nursing in CA, to go to Maranello School of Beauty in San Diego, CA.

While attending this Beauty Collage he met Sharon (Lynne)Wolverton, Foust. On the First of March 1966 they married in Paradise, CA where her mother Edith M Dameron and and Step-Father Robert Allen Valentine lived.

Geroge and Sharon were married almost 30 years, had three beautiful daughters: Robin L, Antonina M. and Edith M. these threse daughters gave him three wonderful grandchildren: Lance L, Erin M. and Maddline G.
