obituaries:

Asher W. Vandolah died near Barbertown June 6, 1905 after suffering for a long time with Bright's disease. He was born in 1832 and was a bachelor. He was greatly distressed by the illness of John Larison, husband of his niece he would never hear to moving away from his home. Mr. Larison has been critically ill for a long time. His son Alvah, who had a horse afflicted with paralysis at Frenchtown last week, lost the norse by death the next day.

Asher W. Vandolah, aged about 73 years, died in Kingwood on the morning of June 6th. He was a man strictly temperate, upright and honest; a pioneer in the peach raising business in that township fifty years ago, previous to that time a
teacher in Alexandria. He was never married, but for a number of years his house has been shared by his niece, Mrs. John Larison, whose husband is now lying in a critical condition from gangrene.
