Wayne VanDike, 66, of Centerville, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Wayne was born August 12, 1943 in Centerville the son of Leon and Betty(Johnson)VanDike. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1963. Wayne drove semi-trucks most of his life and worked for Rick Fenton Trucking. He also painted when he wasn't trucking. Wayne was a member of the Teamsters and the Eagles Club, Centerville.

Wayne is survived by a son Michael VanDike and his significant other Jana Stevens of Centerville; his father Leon VanDike of Centerville, a sister Charlotte(Larry)Bradley of Centerville and a brother Roger(Janice)VanDike of Altoona. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty VanDike.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm. Tuesday, June 15 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1:30 pm. Tuesday morning at Lange Funeral Home

Burial will be in the Zoar Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family.
