"Mrs. Thomas Smith, 24. Dies at Opolis
Mrs. Bertha Blanche Smith, 24 years old, wife of Thomas Smith of near Waco, died of chronic nephritis at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Witters, in Opolis.

Mrs. Smith was born in Crawford county, January 17, 1894. She had been sick ten weeks. She was a member of the Christian church in Opolis. She was married to Thomas Smith at Pittsburg, November 6, 1910.

Besides the widower and her parents, Mrs. Smith is survived by four children, Glenn, 6 years old, Eva, 4 years old, Mildred 2 years old and Gilfred 5 months old; three sisters, Mrs. Lorsey Butler of Kniveton, Miss Lillie Witters and Miss Viola Witters of Opolis; two brothers, Clyde Witters and Martin Witters of Opolis; Mr. and Mrs. Mart Witters and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Thompson, grandparents.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Christian church in Opolis. The service will be conducted by Sam I. Smith, pastor of the Pittsburg Christian church. Burial will be in the Crocker cemetery."
