A funeral service was conducted Tuesday for John S. Sliker, 86, of Conesus who died Friday (July 15, 1966) in Highland Hospital, Rochester, after a short illness.

Mr. Sliker was born in Conesus Dec. 28, 1879, a son of Alfred and Marion Nash Sliker. He was a member of the Conesus Congregational Church and was a former assessor for the Town of Conesus as well as a Republican county committeeman.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Everingham Sliker; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Marion Pavlove of North Miami, Fla.; and seven nephews.

The Rev. Elsa Marland officiated. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. (GCE, July 21, 1966, p2)
