Ernest Paul Spencer, born Sept 29 1901, was the son of Addison Edward and Almira (Bishop) Spencer. He married Pauline Sheley May 31, 1924.

Funeral services for Ernest Paul Spencer, former Bedford resident, were held July 12 at Our Chapel of Memories in Denver, Colo. Mr. Spencer died July 9 in Porter's Hospital. Interment was in Memorial Gardens.

The following obituary was included in the services:
Ernest Paul Spencer was born Sept 29, 1901 at Bedford, and passed away July 9, 1963 at Denver Colo.

He lived in the area of Bedford much of his early life. On May 31 1924, he was united in marriage to Pauline Sheley. To this union four children were born, a son who died in infancy, and three daughters.

The family moved to Colorado in 1936 and have resided there since that time.

He is survived by his widow, Pauline Spencer of Denver; three daughters, Wilma Gallegos of Golden, Beverly Meyers, Howell, Michigan, and Marjorie Spencer of Denver; his mother, Rebecca Spencer of Bedford; four brothers and two sisters: Marie Allen, Galen Spencer, Albert Spencer, Junior Spencer and Julia Bedell, all of Bedford and Glen Spencer of Buffalo, N.Y.; by three granddaughers and one grandson.
Ernest Spencer was not a famous man, by no measurement of the news media of the world. He was know best by those who were nearest to him--his family, his friends, those with whom he worked. By the measurements of friendship, he was indeed, a great man, a kind man, one who received, without solicitation, the favor, confidence and love of those who knew him. he walked without ostentation, the common path of life--that path over which travel the people who give character and strength to our society.
