Isaac was married to a Mary Wolverton (b. 1761, d. 1822) in 1777.
Isaac served in the Revolutionary War, in the Virginia Militia. He signed an Oath of Allegiance, September 13, 1777 before John Morrow.

Isaac Sharp and Mary (Woolverton) Sharp (b. 1761, d. 1822), daughter of John and Abigail Wolverton, married in 1777 and settled on McNarlin€™s run, about three miles northwest of Waynesburgh, Penn., where seven sons and six daughters were born to them: John, (b. 1779, d. 1846),Thomas, (b. 1781, d. 1860), Abigail (Mrs. John Knight), (b. 1783), Mary (wife of William Sharon), (b. 1786), Rachel (married to David Cougar), (b. 1788), William, (b. 1790, d. 1828), Isaac, (b. 1792, d. abt 1856), Rebecca (wife of Ephraim Corwin), (b. 1794, d. 1854), Margaret (Mrs. Thomas Largely), (b. 1796), Darby Woolverton, (b. 1798, d. 1807),, (b. 1800, d. 1874), Bittia (Mrs. Samuel Smith), (b. 1802), and Manaen, (b. 1805, d. 1835). <ref>Children's names and dates of birth are taken from a Bible published in 1793, the property of the father of these children.</ref>

==Research Notes==
Born in 1761 makes her too young for son William born in 1770.  The 1810 and 1820 censuses shows her to be 45 or older, suggesting she was born before 1765, so not much help for this issue.
