ABBOTT RITES ARE MONDAY
Services for Allan J. Abbott, 21, were held Monday at Gude Mortuary for Allan J. Abbott of Lincoln, Nebraska, who died Friday night of injuries received in a collision of a motorcycle and an automobile, following a high speed chase.
Burial was in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Pallbearers were George Christeler, Jan Esser, Charles Graham, Jr., Roger Ulfers, George Schwitzer, Jr., and Leonard Glover.
Allan J. Abbott was born on September 11, 1954, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darold Abbott. He and Joy Schweitzer were married on July 6, 1973 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
He had lived in Lincoln, Ashland, and Nebraska City. He was employed by Lincoln Coating and Siding in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended school in Nebraska City and the Greenwood School in Ashland, Nebraska.
Survivors include his wife, Joy, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Abbott, Ashland, Nebraska, a brother, Michael Abbott, Cambridge, and a sister, Mrs. Steven (Patty) Gruber, of Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Other brothers and sisters are: Diane Abbott, Ashland, Nebraska; Mrs. Bob (Peggy) Tweedy, Crofton; Darold, Jr, Debra, Lori, and Julie, all at home.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Swanson of Syracuse; father-in-law, George Schweitzer, Nebraska City, mother-in-law, Mary Jo Schweitzer, Nebraska, City; and brother-in-law, David, George, and Douglas, all of Nebraska City.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS CLAIM FIVE LIVES
Lincoln police said Allan J. Abbott, 21, 421 Gaslight Lane, Lincoln, Nebraska, was killed about 2:45 A.M., Saturday, during a high speed chase.
Officers said Abbott was west bound on Cornhusker Highway, Lincoln, Nebraska, when his motorcycle struck a station wagon which was stopped for a red light at the 27th Street intersection. Police said the motorcycle was traveling as fast as 80 miles per hour.
