Newspaper Obituary:
"Mrs Almira O. Russell, widow of Dennis Russell, died Wednesday morning, May 21, at her home at Nichols, aged 75 years. Her funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the house. She was born at Nichols and was a daughter of William Wait. After her marriage she lived at Windham, Pa., until the death of her husband, removing to Nichols in 1897. She leaves one brother, John H Wait, of Nichols."

Though Almira had no children of her own, she and husband Russell adopted a child named Ida WILLIAMS.
Almira also became the surrogate mother of her niece Mina FINCH, when sister Mary Delphine (WAIT) FINCH died.
