Eldred J. "Archie" Woolverton, 87, Salina, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004.

Mr. Woolverton was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Abilene. He was the owner of B&W Trailer Co. in Salina. He was a member of University United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge, both in Salina.

He married the former Margaret Roscoe on July 27, 1939, in Salina.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L., in 1998; and a son, David L., in 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Strickland-Collins of Salina and Jill Woolverton of Geddes, S.D.; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
