— MILTON — Carl D. "Davey" Rheppard, 79, of First Street, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Winfield, a son of the late Oliver and Alma (Boney) Rheppard. On Nov. 18, 1950, he married the former Genevieve Sullivan, who survives. His death breaks a marital union of 60 years.
Davey attended Lewisburg schools and worked for VanBuskirk, Lewisburg, ACF, Milton, and for 31 years at American Home Foods, Milton, retiring in 1993.
He was a faithful and active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton.
Davey liked baseball, bowling, woodworking, gardening and making spaghetti sauce and strawberry jelly. He was a fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Penn State. He enjoyed being at home, sitting outside on his back porch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cheryl Rheppard, of Milton; one daughter and son-in-law, Twila and James Kurtz, of Watsontown; one brother, Lewis Rheppard, of Winfield; one sister, Olive Frederick, of Mifflinburg; three granddaughters, Stacey Andrews, of Williamsport, Jamie Ficks, of Watsontown, and Cassie Miller, of Turbotville; one grandson, Kristoffer Rheppard, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice.
Friends and relatives will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Church, Milton, with the Rev. Thomas A Scala as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Milton.

Genevieve M. (Sullivan) Rheppard, 79, of First Street, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born May 2, 1932, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Mabel (Farnsworth) Lose.
She was married on Nov. 18, 1950, to Carl D. "Davey" Rheppard, who preceded her in death.
Genevieve attended Milton schools and was an active and dedicated member of St. Joseph Church, Milton. She always worked the fish dinners at the parish center, where she earned the nickname "the Clorox lady." She was employed by Quaker Dress factory, Lewisburg, Shroyer's Dress factory, Milton, and American Home Foods, Milton. Genevieve was the rock of her family, and she loved them all.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Twila and James Kurtz, of Watsontown; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cheryl Rheppard, of Milton; three granddaughters, Stacey Andrews, of Williamsport, Jamie Ficks, of Watsontown, and Cassie Miller, of Turbotville; one grandson, Kristoffer Rheppard, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; two brothers, Jeremiah Sullivan and John L. Sullivan; and one sister, Leona Poust.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N Front St., Milton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, with Monsignor William S. Richardson as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Milton.
Flowers are welcome, but if desired, donations in Genevieve's memory may be made to St. Joseph Church, 109 Broadway St., Milton, PA 17847.
