Kester, Billy, 77, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 20, 2006. Born in Cory, Ind., he served in the Navy for 21 years and then retired to Tampa with his wife, Shirley, and family in 1967. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Robin Kester, husband, Edward Liebling, Kim Schweitzer, husband, Mark, Kelly Kester and Allison Kester; one brother, Gerald Kester, wife, Valda; two sisters, Delores Sparks and Jo Kester; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 25, at Terrace Oaks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.
