"Julie Lynn Sullivan, age 56, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Julie was born on May 9, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Gordon L. and Patricia Mae Patten. She was an enrolled member of the Osage tribe. Julie graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Radiological Technology-Ultrasound from the University of Oklahoma in 1981. She was honored as one of five OU Health Sciences Center students recognized for "Outstanding Achievement." Julie dedicated her entire career serving our nation's veterans at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. She is survived by her father, Gordon L. Patten (Helen) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Jennifer Patten of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Jeff Patten (Barb) of Fort Worth, Texas; four nephews and four nieces. She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Mae Patten; her grandmother, Myrta Harrison; her sister, Jan Shackelford; and her husband, Tom Sullivan. In lieu of a service, Julie requested donations be made to the veterans program "The Welcome Home Project" c/o Soldier Songs & Voices, 400 Shade Rd, Wimberley, TX 78676. Arrangements under the direction of Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City, OK."
