Jan was born May 21, 1953 in Tulsa, OK to Gordon Leslie and Patricia Mae (Harrison) Patten. She passed away August 18, 2013 in Tulsa, OK.

Jan worked at the cafeteria for Skiatook High School for about 5 years, and then worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 3 years. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Shackelford, Sr.; and mother Patricia Patten.

Funeral Services for Jan Leslie (Patten) Shackelford, 60, of Sperry, were held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Elder Connie Bias officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Honorary Casket Bearers were Jeff Patten, Greg Patten, Phillip Patten, Dustin Welch, Ky Fack, and Roman Shackelford. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
