Graveside rites for Robert W. "Buddy" Paschall, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Wayne Fite officiating.

Paschall died Dec. 17, 1997, at a local health care facility following an extended illness. He was born to Benjamin F. and Selma Carroll Paschall.

A graduate of Plainview High School, he was a longtime employee of the City of Ardmore water department and a member of Southwest Baptist Church. He and Margie Read were married Jan. 20, 1943, in Ardmore.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a sister, Ola Martin, Waco, Texas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert W., on April 30, 1989; three brothers; and two sisters.

Honorary bearers will be Jim Michael, Jerrel Allen, Jim Carroll and Monty Paschall.

Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.

Graveside rites for Margie Read Paschall, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Wayne Fite.

Mrs. Paschall, daughter of the late James Mack and Annie Parker Read, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, in an Ardmore health care facility. Born July 22, 1913, at Dexter, Texas, she had lived in Ardmore since 1929.

She and Robert W. "Buddy" Paschall were married Jan. 20, 1944, in Ardmore. Buddy preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1997. In addition to being preceded by her beloved husband, she was also preceded by a son, Robert W. Paschall, whom she loved and cared for very deeply; three brothers, Jesse, Glen and Elmer Read; and two sisters, Evelyn Carroll and Nova Dillard.

Margie had been a beauty operator for many years and was employed by Stromberg-Carlson at the Ardmore Airpark for more than 10 years. Margie was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a grandson, Chad Paschall, Tulsa; two granddaughters, Mendi Paschall, Oklahoma City, and Niki Groeber, Madill. She also had three beautiful great-grandchildren, Tarah Collins, Oklahoma City, and Shelbi and Grant Groeber, Madill; a brother, James M. Read, a nephew and niece, Jim and Norma Carroll, all living in Ardmore. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, extended family members and many loving friends.

Bearers will be Chad Paschall, Robert Holley, Randal Holley, Tony McCall, Danny McClendon and Denny Wells.

Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
