"On August 4, 1912 she married Robert Jefferson "Jay"
Watson. Brother Perry was supposed to meet Lizzie and R. J.
at 1 p.m. at the Palmer home to marry them. He never
arrived , so they took off in the buggy to try to find him.
They met him, and he married them in the buggy under a
sweetgum tree halfway between John Moore's and Jess McClure's
house."
