Mr. Harold Webb Poplin 60, of Charlotte died suddenly on Saturday, December 19, 1998 at the Stanly Memorial Hospi-tal in Albermarle, NC. He was born in Mecklenburg County on July 7, 1938. Mr. Poplin was owner and operator of Pop-lin Tile and Mar-ble Company and also was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Funeral ser-vices will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 1998 at the McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel with the Reverend N.D. Lucas, Sr. officiat-ing. Burial will follow in the Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg, NC. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Tuesday, December 22, 1998 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtie Norris Poplin of Charlotte; son, Terry Poplin and his wife Michelle and their children Megan and Leah Poplin; daughter Dana P. Lucas and husband Don and their children Brooke and Blair Lucas all of Charlotte; sister, Shirley Hall of Connecticutt, brothers, Jerry M. Poplin of Florida and Mack Poplin of Virginia. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren were the love of his life.

McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel is serving the Poplin Family.
