Elsie was the fifth of seven children born to Percy Powell and Blanche Agatha (Moon) Norris. She married Bobby Wilson Watson and they had two children: Cheryle Ann and Bobby Lee.

Summersett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral will be Wednesday for Elsie Mae Norris Watson, 72, of Salisbury, who died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at the Laurels of Salisbury, after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 4, 1928, in Rowan County, Mrs. Watson was a daughter of the late Blanche Moon and Percy Powell Norris. She graduated from Spencer High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wilson Watson, who died July 25, 1999.
Survivors include son Bobby Lee Watson, Mount Ulla; daughter Cheryle W. Wietbrock, Salisbury; sister Myrtie N. Poplin, Charlotte; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services: Graveside, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Brookhill Memorial Gardens of Rockwell, conducted by the Rev. Clarence E. Sifford, minister of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Summersett Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
