"Brother of Roy Nelson Dead

Fred L. Nelson, 77 years old, a brother of Roy Nelson of Edina, died Wednesday, March 15, 1961, at the home of a daughter in Charleston, Mo. Funeral services were the following Friday with burial at Millersville, where he moved in 1927, and also where his wife is buried. He is survived by eight children, and two brothers, Joseph Benjamin of Lima, Ill., and Roy Nelson of here, and a sister, Mrs. George Wolverton, of Kansas. He was a son of Joseph S. and Sarah L. Nelson and was born Feb. 21, 1884, southwest of Newark. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, and three brothers, Roscoe Nelson, who died a number of years ago in California, Claude Nelson of Knox City, who died Jan. 22, 1961, and Bert Nelson of Newark, who died Aug. 10. 1957."

Jackson--Funeral services for Mrs. Verneta Nelson, 68 years old, who died Saturday at her home near Millersville, were conducted this afternoon at the Millersville Methodist Church by Rev. B.V. Wulff. Burial was in the Snider Cemetery with the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Nelson was born Oct. 31, 1887 at Newark.
She leaves her husband, F.L. Nelson; four sons, Russell of Millersville; Howard of Sedgewickville, Austin and Ivan of St. Louis; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Sevier of St. Louis, Mrs. Roy Benson of Kirkwood, Mrs. Edward Propst of Charleston and Mrs. Otis Mumma of Kalamazoo,Mich; a sister, Mrs. Archie Whitebread of Compton, Calif., and 17 grandchildren.
