BIRTH 1868
DEATH 1953 (aged 84–85)
BURIAL
Riverview Cemetery
Streator, LaSalle County, Illinois, USA

In 1870 he and his parents and four siblings lived on a farm in Reading Township, Livingston County, IL. His father owned real property worth $6400 and personal property worth $925. His father's sister Hannah lived there with them. Also indexed as living with them was 35-year-old Mary Bradford--but that seems likely to have been an incorrect transcription of his father's sister Nancy, age 52--and 18-year-old farm laborer Watson Ong.

In 1880 he and his father, five siblings, and aunts Hannah and Nancy lived there on the farm.

In 1910 he and his wife and their two children lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, at 615 North Shabbona Street in Streator, IL. He worked as a pattern maker in a foundry.

In 1920 the four of them lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, at 708 East Broadway Street in Streator. He worked as the owner of a lumber yard.

In 1930 they all lived in the same house. Their home was valued at $10,000, and they had a radio. He worked as an agent for a publishing company, Mildred worked as an assistant at a library, and Maude worked as a home helper.

In 1940 he and Pearl, their two daughters, and son-in-law Bert Parcher lived in a place they were renting for $25 a month at 214 East Main in Streator. Mildred worked as a librarian at a "rental library", Bert as the operator of a newsstand, and Maude as the operator of a beauty shop.
