Karen Sue (Pruitt) Miller, 69, lifelong resident of Morgan County, was called to rest at 2:58 p.m., on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, in Franciscan St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville, due to complications with her lungs after battling COVID-19.

The oldest of eight children born to the late, Leonard and Evelyn (Campbell) Pruitt, Karen was raised in Wilbur and graduated from Monrovia High school in 1969. Karen worked as a CNA at the Kennedy Home for many years and retired from Bell Trace in Bloomington.

A loving mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend to many, Karen was deeply loved by all who were blessed to know her. Please keep the Pruitt, Dildine and Miller family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. A detailed obituary will be posted shortly upon completion.

Family and close friends are invited to gather and pay respects from 4 to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Cremation will follow services and a Celebration of Life Memorial will be announced at a later date once the restrictions from virus are lifted. Karen and John's ashes will be laid to rest together in Shumaker Cemetery on State Road 142.
