OSCAR MCPIKE DIES SUDDENLY

DEATH OCCURS AT FORT WAYNE; FUNERAL SERVICES HERE SATURDAY

Oscar McPike, 64, died at 4 a.m. today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Chivington, 1733 Spy Run, Fort Wayne. Although he had been an invalid for many years, his death was unexpected.

A native of Madison County, Ohio, he had spent the greater part of his lifetime in Van Wert, having resided on North Cherry and North Chestnut Streets in this city. He left Van Wert about one year ago to make his home with the Chivingtons at Fort Wayne.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Maud Deem of Detroit, and one brother, Ernest McPike of Pleasant Township.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a. m. at the Central Mission of Friends Church in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
