UNION - Madeline D. Leers, 81, died at 9 a.m. Thursday in her home. Survivors include five daughters, Viola Bergeron of Milan, Ind., Paula Rink of Goshen, Alysjane Kidder of Bristol, Darlene Trapp of Elkhart and Terri Bourn of Republic, Mich.; four sons, Preston Templeton Jr., William Leers Jr., and James E. Leers and Gregory Templeton, all of Elkhart; a sister, Bertha L. Templeton of Elkhart; and three brothers, Robert McElroy of Connecticut, Kenneth McElroy and Clarence Stout, both of Phillipsburg, N.J. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
