East County resident Kappy Lou Roberts, 57, died Friday, Feb. 16, at her Portland home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Grace Community Church, 800 S.E. Hogan Road, Gresham.

Kappy was born Aug. 15, 1949, in Seattle to Francis A. and Frances M. Mackey. She was raised and educated in Portland, where she graduated from Parkrose High School.

On Nov. 21, 1970, Kappy married James Roberts in Skamania County, Wash.

She worked in TriMet's maintenance department for 14 years and was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union No. 757.

Survivors include her husband, James Roberts of Portland; son, Richard Roberts of Portland; daughter, Denise Beaver of Sacramento, Calif.; and brothers, Terry Mackey and Paul Mackey, both of Lincoln City.

Memorial contributions can be made to the hospice of one's choice.

Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling arrangements."
